Under the business name of “Kita no Okowaya-san,” we make “okowa” whose freshly boiled taste can be easily reproduced at home just by heating it by a microwave oven. We have developed various products, including “Kani (crab) okowa,” frozen foods such as “Kaisen (seafood) gratin,” and unique easy-to-eat foods using herring and squilla, as our company’s tastes. Rice from Hokkaido is used for okowa, which is steamed and then shipped nationwide after it is rapidly frozen.
In addition to prepared foods for professional use, we deal in gift items, New Year dishes, and mail-order products. We use preprocessed ingredients and make products that make the best of natural ingredients by performing almost all processes by hand.
