KURIHARA TSUNEJIRO SHOTEN Co., Ltd.

Izushi made in the “secret murozukuri” is our specialty produced with a great deal of time and care.

Dating back to1919, we are a company that wholesales marine products and manufactures Izushi.
Primarily, we produce Izushi made with red salmon, sandfish, and herring, and wholesale other delicacies. For the red salmon Izushi, we use red salmon of the highest quality and produce Izushi by hand through the entire process from manufacturing fish fillets and pickling them. Our Izushi is fermented only with salt, sake, and sake lees in a wooden barrel (2kg) in the chamber called “Muro” without adding any additive. Our Izushi flavored in a nearly natural taste has an established reputation for the fish fillet’s size and thickness. In the Tohoku region, Kanetsu’s Izushi takes root as “Otaru’s sushi.”
We produce about 20,000 barrels of Izushi, making us the top manufacturer of red salmon Izushi in the industry.
