OEM is our core business as a cooperative firm of major companies.
Since our establishment in 1921, we have continued to pursue safety and security, and aim to create products that are delicious for adults and children alike.
Our main business is OEM contract manufacturing and frozen sales of fish paste products for commercial use, such as frozen baked chikuwa and satsuma-age.
As a Japan Frozen Foods Certified Factory and a JFS-B compliant factory, we have received numerous awards for our production technology and high quality control.
We can also accommodate your company’s original product manufacturing needs.
We handle about 120 kinds of products and are equipped with one automatic fryer, three chikuwa roasting machines, one scallop flavor fish cake roasting machine, two fish cake lines for prepared foods, mini fryers, and other equipment to handle mass production.
The name of the company, “Yamato,” represents the company’s desire to value people-to-people relationships.
■HI COROCORO
Our fried kamaboko products are basically for stewed dishes. Soy protein is added to the paste to help broth absorption. Because it is meant to be stewed, the product only has plain flavor so as not to conflict with the broth. While you can have them as they are, we recommend cooking them or add some arrangement to enjoy them more.
■Otaru Chikuwa
The chikuwa made of minced walleye pollack is added with flour to absorb broth better especially when cooked in a stew. Compared to pure cod meat chikuwa, this hybrid chikuwa may be tastier depending on dish types. Minimum flavor is added to the product so as not to stand in the way of the broth flavor. The product is carefully designed to be enjoyed with the flavor of the stew.
■Roasted Chikuwa
There are several types of “chikuwa” in Japan. This product is one of the standard chikuwas. The recipe is ancient, going back about 900 years, and its simple flavor still makes it one of our most popular lineups today. We call it “Otaru Chikuwa” because of its place of production, Otaru. The product has a distinct chewy texture of chikuwa from olden days. The main ingredient, surimi , is made of walleye pollack from Hokkaido. Hokkaido, renowned for plentiful fishery resources, is one of the biggest surimi producers in Japan.
